Where do people park at this movie theater? Yesterday I went to go see No Country for Old Men (pretty good movie) and I had to pay $5 just to park underneath the theater. I guess it is easier to park at the mall and walk over? You really cannot go anywhere in Stamford without paying for parking.
I think this is why I keep going to New Canaan or Bedford to watch movies, free street parking. Although, Stamford always has a bigger selection of movies.

The Mall parking garage on Greylock is probably the most affordable parking around and parking there is free on Sunday. It’s not as convenient as parking in Landmark Square, but it’s an option.
I think you’ve previously noted that the suburban set prefers not paying for parking, and that’s a big problem for Stamford’s downtown, where the majority of customers need to drive in to shop/dine/entertain.
Zobot, do you mean the lot that’s right by the NYSC- and do you just walk around the corner- up Greyrock and left on Main- to get to the theatre? Free on Sunday- good tip.
I usually park in the Bedford lot behind Capriccio- when that’s full I go into the garage there.
Ms. Talk,
That lot by the NYSC should be free, yes…All of the lots associated with /operated by the Stamford Town Center are free on Sundays.
Here’s a link that maps and lists the various parking options and costs…

In the interest of full disclosure, while I am aware of the free parking, I don’t use it, as I have a monthly pass to Landmark Square.
Thanks for the info; I just added it to my website under a ‘Useful Links’ tab!
Try the State Theater in Springdale.
Who on earth drives to Bedford or New Canaan from Stamford? There are lots of movie theaters in Stamford, dude.
Why go to Bedford or New Canaan? Because you never have to worry about movies selling out or paying for parking.
Granted, I am not putting down Stamford’s theaters, they are all bigger with better sound systems etc. Sometimes I am just looking for a different experience.
Both of the Bowtie theaters in Stamford are terrible. I go to the new AMC theater in Port Chester. The theaters have stadium seating, the food is halfway decent and best of all - free parking!!
